10 Healthy Habits for 2021
Icebreaker
Happy New Year, lovely folks! It’s kinda funny
because most of us are busy sipping a glass of juice, enjoying our platter of sumptuous
goodness while the kids are back to school, or running around our legs as we
work from home. I guess it is still unbelievable! Hope we are all keeping safe,
lol! So, enough of that, and let's talk about something else. We are already at
the tail-end of January, and still ahead, we still have eleven more exciting months. In
fact, I can't just wait for the adventure to begin already! But let's hold a
bit, and take a couple of steps back….are we just ganna jump right into the
year without making some commitments? I feel that it's worth the trial to pay
attention to some cool facts which may help us sail through the year.
Resolution/Habit
I don’t consciously commit myself to what most
of us refer to as a New year resolution because you may subconsciously fail
bit by bit if care is not taken. I naturally try to be a better person by
building on my strengths while attending to my weaknesses. I ain’t no saint,
you know. Although some things normally work for me and that’s creatively
activating a culture habit whereby I try to motivate myself into getting
involved in events that could boost my morale, assist others to be better, and
as well help me become reformed in most unimaginable ways. Today, I am going to
share some of these habits for 2021 with you, believing that someone out there
could benefit from them.
Let’s Strike a Balance
Frank Thoughts: Don’t Just Work Hard Work Smart
Have you ever imagined doing something so
effortless that it works magic? Yeah, that’s a good feeling, right? Do you know
that while engaging in an activity, you are inversely working on
yourself and taking up a positive habit? Yeah! That’s sounds interesting and
motivating! Now, let me share some healthy habits that can get you driving this
year, and I would assure you that if you just give it a shot, you won’t only
see the transformation, but you would totally enjoy the experience.
Find a Productive Hobby
Apart from family and work, why don’t you try
relaxing over something else which could make you happier? I feel you need
something that doesn’t require a deadline, you just complete or deliver at
your own pace. Think about dancing, trying a new recipe, gardening, photography,
sculpture, writing (blogging, copy-writing, creative writing, etc), yoga,
vlogging, woodwork, video games, and so much more. These tend to take your
mind away from all the worries, and you get to experience a moment of happiness
and fulfillment once in a while. Whenever I am not at work or with the kids, I
bike, swim, write, take pictures, and engage in so many other fun stuff.
Spend Time with Nature
This could sound awkward for some people but
it actually helps. Back then in school, when my head is saturated or whenever I
need to unwind, I come out to our ‘Love garden’(botanical garden) and sit under
a tree, there I take in not just the fresh air, green vegetation, fruits, listen
to the birds sing but I’m surrounded by serenity which purges my being from all
manner of stress and energy. Additionally, you could try long walks whereby the cool
breeze would wrap you in its arms. If you have a safe riverbed around you, you
could have a picnic by the side while you watch the peaceful body of water slap against the shore line along with little water creatures.
Control your Social Media Consumption
Although we get a lot of fun and interesting
facts from the internet or social media, let’s not forget that some are either
fake or unconfirmed. Lately, there has been a lot of toxicity in the air
majorly fueled through social media and the internet. Not only that, due to demand for
the latest events, fashion, and gossip, so many people have gotten accustomed to wrapping their lives
around the internet, that at a point, it has become a negative addiction. Let's
cool it down with the amount of time we devote to our various handles.
Have a Conscious Healthy Lifestyle and try Meditation
One of our main aims on earth is longevity, and to achieve
that, we must consciously watch what we consume, exercise, and as well have an
active lifestyle. Also, we could try out meditation because it helps to calm
the nerves and drain the excess negative vibes we must have caught in the cause
of our daily or weekly activities. I work out on weekends and I meditate each
night before I sleep, these have worked for me, and I am sure you won’t be an
exception.
Your Personal Hygiene is King

We have different parts of the body, and these
need to be taken care of to reduce the level of discomfort for the next person
to the barest minimum. Things like an offensive body odor or breathe from different parts of the body ought to
be avoided and also you must take good care of your clothing, toothbrushes, and
towels or sanitary wear. This goes a long way in determining our relationship
with people because it is quite a difficult issue to relate to, and the next
person may not be bold enough to inform you about it.
Knowledge is Power
I have heard this said so many times and I
never got to understand till I started reading. Trust me, you could sit in any
conversation, topic, or circle so far as you are versatile. Also, this would
definitely assist to boost your self-esteem and protect you from bullies and as
well, you know your history and rights.
Relationships
Your family, friends, and the network are driving wheels you definitely need to ride on this year, No matter how busy you are with
work, don’t fail to check on those close to you or keep the relationship you
have with them intact because you may find out too late that at some point, they
begin to grow away from you instead of towards you. In terms of network, that
next job, appointment, or even connection you need could be a call or chat
away, and I trust you really don’t want to miss out on any juicy opportunity
this year.
Socialize
Although it could be difficult for some people,
it is fun when you try it for the first time and it works, definitely, it
should. What am I talking about? Socialize more. Love to meet new people. Get fond
of being around circle of people you don’t know but may have a common goal or
interest. Go out and explore because the world is yours and simply waiting on
you! Don’t be afraid to strike up a conversation in a bus, a waiting room, or
even a restaurant with a total stranger. Through this, you would definitely
learn communication and a whole bunch. Have an open mind and don’t discriminate
because you may be shutting yourself up from something beneficial.
Invest
There are different types of investments; the
one you buy stocks or buy into one business or the other, and the one you
invest in yourself by taking up a class. I am sure that you are looking at
getting so many projections or promotions this year, well, skills learned on
the job and that learned in class are simply what companies look out for during
recruitment or investing in any business.

Don’t Overburden Yourself
I always say this, there comes a time when you
just have to take a break far away from it all; When you do, try and restructure
and come back to the hearth or take the bold step by moving on to a beneficial opportunity.
Life is typically enjoyed when you make things easier for yourself, and to do so, you need to unconsciously teach yourself how to live the good life without complicating things, and having a healthy habit is just a key to most of it all.
